Welcome, and thank you for your presence.
My name is Kalpana Galagali and I am a special education teacher by day at Borel Middle School a mindfulness & yoga instructor over the weekends & evenings, and an activist at my core. My work is motivated by three beliefs:
First, our experiences are our biggest teachers. You simply have to look for the lessons.
Second, anyone can learn tools and skills to enhance their lives.
Third, the power of a positive community is that it can help you see the best in you.
I hope to share mindfulness-based meditation and stress reduction techniques that can enhance our lives. I teach a mindfulness & yoga at the Rickes Center for Human Enhancement, and Sutter Health in Palo Alto Medical Foundation. I’d be honored to work with you! Fill out this google form if you’re interested in yoga.
My students will take away tools that can help them cope with the daily stress that often goes hand in hand with a fast-paced society. While much of my teachings are rooted in Buddhist spirituality (vipassana) and Hindu traditions (Asthana yoga), I adopt a nonsectarian approach, corroborated by academic research
